ASBTE will fund ten Travel Awards of up to $500 to assist postgraduate research students and early-career researchers to attend the 19th ASBTE Annual Conference to be held in Sydney on 21-23 January 2009, in parallel with the 3rd Indo-Australian Conference on Biomaterials, Implants, Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine. Applicants must be current financial members of the ASBTE and must submit an abstract for presentation at the Conference. The Travel Awards are intended to help those who have difficulty getting to the Conference through shortage of funds. The decisions on the Awards will be made by the ASBTE Committee and may vary in amount at the discretion of the Committee. Letters of application, giving justification of need, showing travel budget and other funds available, plus a copy of the submitted conference abstract must be submitted to A/Prof Sunil Kumar via e-mail (sunil.kumar@unisa.edu.au), with Subject “ASBTE Travel Application” by 5 pm Friday 7 November 2008.
